Jay Wilson, BSc, MSc

Jay Wilson B.Sc., M.Sc., leads a private health navigation, education and advocacy group called FoundingKnowledge.com which works mostly with clients that have complex medical diagnoses and need help both understanding the condition and wading through the clinical channels they are faced with. He attended U.B.C. for honours undergraduate studies in Biology with a specialization in genetics, then completed a research M.Sc. in Human Genetics at U.C.L.A, specializing in molecular paediatric endocrinology. He has been a mental health and addictions counsellor for the Salvation Army, a cognitive behaviour therapist for the Toronto Catholic School Board, a health psychology consultant for Upper Canada College, and a senior clinical researcher in molecular genetics for Mt. Sinai, Toronto Sick Kids Hospital, and case management firms. He is currently writing his final thesis for an M.Sc. in Applied Psychology with a specialization in mental health and psychotherapy. Most importantly, he is the proud father of a 6 month old girl!
