Liam Skinner, AWCCA

Liam is a graduate of the AWCCA (assaulted women’s and children’s counselling advocate) diploma program through George Brown College. Liam has also trained in advanced group intensive therapeutic work in the Cat Skills in Upstate New York called the Shalom Process. This method blends Bio Energetics, Archetypal, and Humanistic psychologies into the process of leading individuals within community towards a greater sense of wholeness and connectedness. He has also worked in the mental health and addictions/social work sector doing Case Management, Counselling, Family Counselling, leading workshops as well as trainings in Trauma Informed Care and many other topics of mental health and addictions for nearly a decade. Liam has also been a long standing activist and community organizer in the LGBTQ+ community for over 15 years. He is a soon to be graduate of the LI’s Existential Integrative Psychotherapy Program and is awaiting registration with the CRPO. As well as currently pursuing Level one and two of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy training program. Lastly, Liam has a deep reverence for the art of Psychotherapy and healing.
